HUBUNGAN EFIKASI DIRI DAN DUKUNGAN KELUARGA DENGAN KEPATUHAN MINUM OBAT PADA PASIEN HIPERTENSI DI POLIKLINIK PENYAKIT DALAM RSUD PASAR MINGGU

Hypertension is a chronic disease that can lead to serious complications if not properly managed. One of the key factors in controlling hypertension is patients’ adherence to medication. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and family support with medication adherence among hypertensive patients. A descriptive quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach was used. A total of 92 hypertensive patients were selected using purposive sampling at the Internal Medicine Clinic of RSUD Pasar Minggu. Data collection instruments included the General Self-Efficacy Scale, Perceived Social Support-Family (PSS- Fa), and the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS 8). Chi-square analysis showed a significant relationship between self-efficacy and medication adherence (p=0.000), and between family support and medication adherence (p=0.001). The analysis indicated that patients with high self-efficacy and good family support tend to adhere better to antihypertensive therapy. This study concludes that self efficacy and family support influence medication adherence, highlighting the importance of nursing interventions focusing on these aspects to improve hypertension management.
